We are looking for a Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to support the development, calibration, and validation of gasoline powertrain diagnostic systems.
? Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement OBD diagnostic calibration solutions
• Perform hands-on diagnostic verification and validation testing
• Calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB regulations
• Support diagnostic system requirements and hardware development
• Perform instrumentation, data acquisition, calibration, and data analysis
• Troubleshoot diagnostic and calibration issues
• Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and timing projections
• Support hot-weather and high-altitude validation testing
? Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical,
or related Engineering
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience; experienced candidates preferred
• Knowledge of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and gasoline propulsion systems
• Experience with INCA, MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
• Robust understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition, and calibration
• Valid Driver’s License
• Canadian Citizenship required
• Willingness to travel approximately 2–4 weeks per year for validation activities
