We need volunteers to help feed residents at mealtimes in the dining room from 8:30–10:30 a.m. or 12:30–1:30 p.m. Volunteers escort residents to the dining room, seat them at the table, put on garment protectors, encourage them to eat, and foster communication.
Training is provided before volunteering.
Responsibilities
- Help feed residents during mealtimes.
- Escort residents to the dining room and seat them.
- Apply garment protectors.
- Encourage residents to eat.
- Foster communication with residents.
Volunteer Requirements
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check.
- Able to speak English.
- Have patience and like to work with the elderly.
- Vulnerable person police clearance.
- TB test.
- Complete mandatory online education.
