Join us and be part of something truly special.OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment and lead our growing events program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance the energy of a busy dining room with the logistical precision needed for special events and catering requests. You will serve as the operational anchor for all functions—both on and off-site—working in close coordination with our Events Manager to ensure every celebration at Manzil is executed flawlessly.ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations: Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, wine service, and guest hospitality.Staff Leadership: Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build an effective team capable of handling both daily service and private functions.Catering & Events: Manage and fulfill catering requests for special events; oversee the setup, execution,



and breakdown of private parties and functions on and off-site.Event Collaboration: Work in lockstep with the Events Manager to operationalize event contracts, coordinate specialized staffing, and ensure kitchen readiness for large-scale bookings.Logistics & Inventory: Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies for the restaurant and specific rentals or ingredients required for events.Systems & Compliance: Implement and maintain POS systems; ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen, dining, and event areas.Guest Relations: Handle customer inquiries, event consultations, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors to secure quality ingredients and event supplies at competitive prices.RequirementsProven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in banquet, event, or catering logistics.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team during high-pressure event windows and standard service.Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the Events Manager, kitchen team, and event hosts.Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and event management tools.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the event calendar.A passion for premium hospitality and a desire to showcase the best of Indian cuisine and Kismet wines.Serving It Right certification is required.Food Handling or Food Safe Certificate is a bonus.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $25.00-$30.00 per hourBenefits:Discounted or free foodExtended health careOn-site parkingStore discountAbility to commute/relocate:Oliver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Language:English (required)Licence/Certification:Serving it Right Certificate (required)Work Location: In person
