In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. Human Resources Exemption: NoExperience Minimum three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse. Minimum one (1) year experience in community needs assessment, community development and health promotion. Minimum one (1) year nursing experience in a primary health setting preferred. Education Certificate in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program (i.E., Registered Nurse – Nurse Practitioner Master's Program) Level C, Basic Cardiac Life Support Knowledge and AbilitiesDemonstrates responsible decision-making ability through the application of critical thinking Demonstrates strong communication and public relations skills Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills Demonstrates ability to show initiative and self-direction Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care Demonstrates ability in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques Demonstrates ability to recognize the need for holistic care to individuals, groups,
