At PagerDuty, you'll tackle complex problems, collaborate with kind and ambitious people, and help build a more equitable world—all in a flexible, award-winning workplace.Program Managers (PgMs) at PagerDuty drive large scale programs and projects to success You will be responsible for identifying the stakeholders, driving to set roadmaps and strategies for the program, leading delivery, reporting status, and holding the bar on quality. PgMs handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management. You will need to work with many teams in different domains and will work effectively with engineers, engineering managers, product managers, customer service teams and beyond. If you are someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem solving ability and is passionate about managing large scale programs and projects then we want you to join our teamResponsibilities:Lead product development and other department program planning, milestone and success criteria definition, resource allocation plan, and estimation leading to predictable deliveryAnalyze large data sets quickly to identify complex patterns and relationships resulting in practical solutions to real business problemsAnticipate bottlenecks, providing escalation management and making tradeoffsIdentify unstructured problems and drive technical and operational improvement, business strategies, and technical solutions across teamsProvide technical contribution working with cross functional teams to surface dependencies, risks, mitigation plans, and estimation refinement.Collaborate closely with departments to drive iterative process improvements Leverage tools and processes to improve productivity in support of the programCommunicate successes, schedules, priorities, issues and overall program health to all levels in the companyCreate, track, and drive critical path, flagging and managing risks, dependencies and decisions that affect the programDrive program alignment on present and future outcomes that support company's strategy Manage program financials related to capitalizationCreation and distribution of impactful automated reportingAttributes:Ability to organize a new program and assemble all structural components needed to kick off and mobilize teamsConfidently and accurately manage cross-team dependency and risk identification and resolutionAble to translate technical details into useful information for non-technical DutoniansAbility to communicate complex information/situations in a clear and concise manner to all levelsStrong influencing and networking skills with the ability to drive and take action proactively, with a focus on outcomes and deliverablesAble to manage up and down the org, keeping program goals at the forefrontAnalytical,



solution orientedConfidence/ability to have the difficult conversations Business & Financial AcumenAbility to absorb a holistic understanding of the program from User to Prioritization to Delivery to SupportExperience with managing large-scale programs with a wide impact radius (such as migrations/deprecations etc.)Ability to set up reports/dashboards such that manual effort is reducedMinimum Qualifications:5+ years of technical program management experience in matrixed software development organizationsJira power userBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceHave a deep understanding of agile principles and how to apply them effectivelyExperience with common software development methodologies and standardsDesired Qualifications:Work experience in a fast growth startup environmentAbility to provide technical recommendations in solving software engineering challenges involving bug triage, pull requests, source control, continuous integration, etc.Experience in DevOps and digital/cloud operationsThe base salary range for this position is 83, ,000 CAD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or perks.Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position.
