Macdonald Bridge and the A. Murray MacKay Bridge. Approximately105,000 vehicles cross the two bridges each workday, along with the hundreds ofpedestrians and cyclists who use the active transportation lanes on theMacdonald Bridge. Find out more about us on our website Role SummaryHHB is seeking a drivenProject Manager to lead and deliver capital and operational projects across itsinfrastructure and facilities portfolio. This role provides expert projectmanagement support to the Engineering and Maintenance teams, working closelywith a broad range of internal and external partners. The successful candidatewill demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgement, and a commitment tosafety, efficiency, and exceptional client service. This position offers theopportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth of HHB's Maintenance andTechnical teams while further developing professional and leadershipcapabilities.PrimaryResponsibilities:· Manage multipleconcurrent infrastructure and facilities projects, providing day-to-day projectmanagement coordination and support and resources to Engineering andMaintenance teams.· Conduct constructabilityreviews and collaborate on estimates, tendering, bid evaluation, scopedevelopment, and contract awards during preconstruction.· Develop and maintainproject plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers to ensure projects aredelivered on time and within scope and budget.· Maintain complete andaccurate project documentation and controls across all phases, includinginitiation, design, procurement, monitoring, reporting, and closeoutprocedures.· Monitor design andconstruction quality to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications,execution plans, and quality control standards and provide interpretations andrecommendations.· Coordinate fieldactivities and construction sequencing, identifying risk, resolving technicalissues, and supporting safe and effective site operations.· Review and administercontract processed, including RFI's, submittals, shop drawings,



change orders,progress billings, and critical systems documentation.· Attend and activelyparticipate in regular project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, andprovide timely updates and reports to stakeholders.· Foster and maintaineffective communication and working relationships with HHB staff, consultants,contractors, clients, and corporate stakeholders on topics important to theconstruction industry and impacts to projects.· Demonstrate leadershipand adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards on assignedprojects through inspection, audits, review of contractor safety plans, andfollow-up on incidents and non-conformance.· Lead the commissioning,start-up, turnover activities, and coordination/liaison with local utilities toensure infrastructure and facilities are operationally ready.· Support teameffectiveness by mentoring project staff, coordinating resources, andcontributing to training, performance discussions, and professionaldevelopment.· Perform other relatedduties as assigned. Qualifications· Successful completion ofpost-secondary education in a relevant field such as engineering, constructionmanagement, project management, architecture, or business program.· PMP Certification isconsidered an asset.· Minimum 8 years of experienceas Owner's Representative with project management and/or constructionmanagement experience.· Excellent written andverbal communication and presentation skills with internal and externalstakeholders.· Knowledge of basicconstruction law, application of building codes and the coordination ofstructural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil drawings and specifications.· Robust organizationalskills, detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritiesand deadlines following project management best practices.· Able to lead and workcollaboratively across multiple cross-functional teams,



serving as a role modeland mentor.· Strong financialknowledge and understanding of capital budgets, construction costs, including thecost of labour and resources.· Technically proficientwith Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Project, etc.).Physical Requirements: Walk, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reachon uneven surfaces, bridge decks, and temporary works. Lift, carry, push, orpull materials and equipment (up to 25–35 lbs). Use tools with manual dexterityand sit for computer-based tasks such as planning, scheduling, and reporting.Maintain vision and hearing for conversations, alarms, radio use, and readingdrawings/specs. Safely operate a vehicle between offices and bridge sites.Working Conditions: This safety-sensitive role combines office work(planning, documentation, meetings) with field work (inspections, contractorcoordination). Field work may involve extreme heights (170–320 feet), confinedspaces, variable weather, high noise, vibration, dust, fumes, lead (withrespirators), and flammable materials. The position may involve mental stressfrom conflicting demands and safety-critical tasks, requiring focus, quickdecision-making, and strong communication. Strict adherence to safety protocolsand the use of PPE are always required.About the position: This is a Full-time, Permanent, Non-Union position. The hours of work are35 hours per week; however, the roledoes requireoccasional extended hours.
