Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Transportation Planner role based in Edmonton, AB. The Transportation Planner will design and optimize transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of food and medical supplies. Daily tasks include analyzing demand and capacity, coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams, and monitoring transportation performance and service levels. The role involves assessing regional and urban transportation needs, supporting land use considerations in planning efforts, and preparing reports and recommendations for leadership. The Transportation Planner will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to address logistical challenges,



improve processes, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Transportation Planning and Regional Planning to design and manage effective distribution networks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Urban Planning and Land Use to support planning decisions that align with local infrastructure and community needs.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize routes, and solve complex logistical problems.
- Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation planning is beneficial.
- Post-secondary education in Planning, Transportation, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with mapping, routing, or planning software and standard office productivity tools is an asset.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in handling food and medical supplies is advantageous.
