Employment Terms: 1-4 weeks during July/August 2026The OpportunityBranksome Hall is seeking Mentors to work closely with students, in support of our summer programs for the Slingshot Innovation Academy. As a Mentor, you will serve as a coach and guide for students between Grades 7-11 in entrepreneurship, debate and public speaking, or app development, creating an inclusive learning workplace.Reporting to the Director, Camps & Slingshot, you will support the Lead Facilitator of the program, assist with the learning and skill development of students, and guide them through the curriculum and projects. Depending on the duration of the specific Slingshot program, Mentors will work full time for 1-4 weeks during Summer 2026.Key Accountabilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToSupport the Lead Facilitator on a daily basis to execute daily lessons, activities, and projects, ensuring the learning outcomes are met Act as a mentor and support curriculum understanding, skill development and project progression Lead small group discussions, work 1:1 with students, support hands-on activities and brainstorming, and guide students through learning using mediums and relevancy to the real world Provide targeted, constructive, and actionable feedback to students and student teams to support growth Model and mentor students to develop essential skills in areas such as public speaking, self-confidence, collaborative teamwork, and professional presentation Model and support positive classroom dynamics, collaboration, attendance, and student engagement,addressing any student challenges with a coaching approach Assist with logistical needs and tasks, including off-site trips, final showcase, program setup, organization,



and preparation of learning spaces among other tasks Candidate ProfileIdeal candidates will be enrolled in or graduated from post-secondary or post-graduate programs. Consideration will be given to candidates who are in their final years of secondary school. Experience and background in App Development, Entrepreneurship or Debate/Public Speaking, as aligned with the Slingshot program the Mentor is supporting Experience working with youth in an educational, camp, or leadership setting is an asset, ideally students in Grades 6–9. This can include experience coaching or mentoring young people. Able to maintain high energy and inspire students, connecting their learning with real-world experiences and applications for each individual Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with both students and colleagues Passion for creative, experiential learning to help students become future-ready Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Apple applications Experience with various innovative technologies to support student teams Target Hiring Range: $20 - $30 per hourHow To ApplyBring your vision, passion and creativity to Branksome Hall.
