Sales Supervisor - Retail
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work setting: Urban area. Retail business.
Tasks:
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Order merchandise
- Authorize return of merchandise
- Establish work schedules
- Sell merchandise
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
Supervision: Retail salespersons and sales clerks.
Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Quick-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Walking. Standing for extended periods.
Own tools/equipment: Computer. Printer. Internet access. Cellular phone.
