About The OpportunityOur client who is a not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to join its global finance team for a new role. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, this role is based in Ontario, Canada and also serves as the Country Finance Manager for the organization's Canadian entity.As part of the organization's strategic focus on organizational effectiveness and strong stewardship of financial resources, the Regional Finance Manager will provide hands-on financial leadership for the Canadian entity and act as a thought partner to Country Finance Managers across several assigned countries. This role plays a critical part in strengthening financial systems, reporting, internal controls, and compliance across multiple country offices.Duties include but are not limited to:Provide full-cycle financial management for the Canadian entity and financial oversight/support for assigned country officesEnsure compliance with organizational financial SOPs, procurement policies, donor requirements, and local regulatory and tax obligationsLead timely month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with established close calendarsReview and analyze country office financial reports, balance sheets, and reconciliations; provide feedback and guidance to improve accuracy and controlsSupport internal and external audits, including identifying and monitoring corrective actionsConduct periodic internal reviews and limited-scope audits to ensure financial accuracy and complianceMaintain robust working relationships with Country Finance Managers and Country Directors, providing timely guidance and supportSupport the use and optimization of ERP systems (Workday) and financial reporting toolsProvide training, coaching, and capacity-building support to finance staff and country leadershipAssist with recruitment, onboarding,
