Your Opportunity:As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) - General Internal Medicine, you will provide consultation services to a wide variety of patients and families while stationed within the UAH Emergency Department. The GIM NP role will assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Supported by an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, the Nurse Practitioner has the opportunity to provide a holistic care approach to the patients on the unit in and exciting and quick paced environment.Description:As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
