Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada (On site). Salary based on experience – up to $44.66/hour.

Air Canada is currently seeking motivated individuals to fill a full-time Aircraft Technician position at our Calgary maintenance center located near Calgary International Airport.

Compensation will be based on experience and the collective agreement.

Aircraft technicians are responsible for airframe maintenance and should have the following skills and abilities:

- Ability to use the appropriate tools, methods, techniques and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- Ability to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools
- Teamwork, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain a customer‑focused attitude in a demanding, high‑pressure environment
- Ability to work independently, with support via phone and computer; self‑motivation and confidence are assets

Qualifications

- High school diploma
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and/or at least 2 years of industry experience
- Possession of a Transport Canada AME‑E license (mandatory)
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
- Ability to successfully pass pre‑employment qualification exam, medical examination and security screening
- Availability to work nights, evenings and days,



including weekends and statutory holidays
- Ability to obtain and hold a ramp vehicle operator permit (mandatory)Possession of a restricted radio operator’s certificate (aviation)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all transport security clearances and any additional applicable accreditations
- Punctuality and reliability to support overall team success in a fast‑paced workplace
- Employees in this role perform safety‑critical work; Air Canada medical standards apply. Candidates will be subject to medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, and must be free of intoxicating substances.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the job is offered at the time the offer is made; obtaining work permits/visas is the candidate’s responsibility.
- The selection will be made in accordance with Letter of Agreement 13 of the current collective agreement.

Assets: Type endorsements on Air Canada aircraft; valid security clearance.
