Child & Youth Support Worker - Windsor Youth Complex, Special Needs

We are hiring a Child & Youth Support Worker to provide behavioural, emotional, and daily living support to a male youth with autism and complex needs. This is a temporary placement with HealthOPM, a Canadian healthcare staffing agency, featuring stable hours and the opportunity to make a difference.

Pay & Perks

Hourly rate: $23+ per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.

Flexible weekday or weekend scheduling.

Supportive agency team and compliance assistance.

Build valuable experience working with youth who have complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Support daily activities and provide behavioural guidance.
- Apply NVCI or Safe Management Group training to manage safety.
- De‑escalate aggressive or violent behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with the client and HealthOPM team.

Schedule

Weekday (Mon–Fri)



or weekend (Sat–Sun) availability.

Shifts: 7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, 11 PM–7 AM.

Qualifications

- Diploma or certification as a Child & Youth Support Worker (CYW/CYC).
- NVCI or Protected Management Group training required.
- Prior experience supporting youth with autism and complex special needs.
- Skilled in behaviour management and crisis response.
- Patient, reliable, and compassionate.
