As a Technician lI - Security with Bosch Building Technologies/ Paladin, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction. Though based in Vancouver you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region. Our Integrated Systems Technicians are responsible for installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Install, configure and maintain CCTV systems, alarm systems, and related security equipmentPerform cable pulling, termination, and routing as part of security system installationProvide the customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiriesTroubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security equipment and systemsComplete detailed and accurate paperworkPerform other tasks as requiredYou may be required to be "on-call" before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day. when you are not regularly scheduled to workYou may be required to work "night shifts" when needed based on project/service requirementsSupport,



lead, and mentor team membersDesign systems and layoutMaintain a high level of safety and professionalism. Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary. Other duties as requiredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industryProficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshootingExperience with security systems, CCTV, and alarmsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team membersValid Driver's License with a clean abstractAble to work independentlyPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalentVendor Certification in low-voltage systemsPROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:Proper hand and power tool operations and safety. Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervisionAbility to organize workload for effective implementationAbility to complete projects on time and on budgetAbility to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situationsAbility to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse culturesAbility to function as an effective team memberAbility to adapt as the external environment and organization evolvesPHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position.
