About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking an Employment Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of post-call experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to work on a broad range of employment and labour matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise employers and employees on a variety of employment law matters.
- Draft and review employment agreements, workplace policies, termination packages, and related documentation.
- Provide strategic advice regarding workplace issues, human rights matters, employment standards, and wrongful dismissal claims.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other court materials.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Manage files independently while collaborating with colleagues on complex matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of employment law experience gained at a law firm.




- Experience advising employers and/or employees on a broad range of workplace issues.
- Strong advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage files independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience handling labour law matters is considered an asset.
- Advocacy experience before courts, tribunals, or administrative bodies is preferred.
- Established business development skills or a desire to participate in business development initiatives is an asset.
