The Manager, Slope Maintenance sets the cultural tone that creates revolutionary guest experiences while uniting their team around purpose and fun. The purpose of this role is to lead Slope Maintenance operations by coordinating teams, projects, and daily priorities to deliver protected, high-quality, and consistently maintained skiing and riding conditions. This role fosters a detail-oriented, collaborative culture and ensures all snowmaking, grooming, and maintenance activities are executed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards to enhance the guest experience for year-round on-hill operations.Cultivating consistent, productive, and timely collaboration across various teams and shifts.Fostering a detail-oriented culture that prioritizes upkeep and presentation of fencing, padding, ribboning,
grass maintenance, snow guns, and grooming qualityDelivering a high-quality snow surface by maintaining grooming conditions that meet established standards.Ensuring all slope maintenance projects are completed on schedule and in alignment with those standards, while consistently following processes to support excellent skiing and riding experiences.Leading all capital & maintenance projects in a manner that promote efficiency and safety and achieves superior fit and finish.Ensuring daily pass-on meetings and communications regarding projects and priority work.Department recruitment and selection and supporting in the facilitation of onboarding and training.Responsibility for the performance management of the team by establishing plans, measuring group and individual performance, coaching and counseling to improve performance, addressing complaints, recognizing, rewarding, administering wage increases and celebrating achievements.Preparing and maintaining the Annual Operating and Capital Budget for Snowmaking, Grooming and Slope Maintenance.What do we need from you?5 years+ related snowmaking and/or grooming and some landscape construction experience an assetExperience managing a medium size (30+ employees) work unit, through subordinate leaders that includes workers who are skilled and mature tradesmen.Comfort level working outdoors in extreme weather (heat or cold)Experience managing capital and operating budgets of $250,000 an assetAbility to work weekend, day and overnight shifts, depending on the season.This role is being posted to fill a vacant position#J-18808-Ljbffr
