OverviewWe are a professional family with a newborn living in a downtown Toronto condo, looking for a proactive, self-starting Nanny/Household Manager to join our family in March/April 2026. This role features a 1 to 2 month integration period while the mother is on maternity leave. During this time, you will work alongside the parents to learn the infant's routine and establish household systems. Once the mother returns to work, you will transition to primary care for our son (who will then be 6 months old) while maintaining the home's operations.The Schedule & CompensationHours: Full time. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.Shift Structure: A hybrid schedule of 8-hour shifts with varied start timesSample Week: Mon/Wed (10:30 AM - 6:30 PM); Tue/Thu (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM); Fri (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)Compensation: $ $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Flexibility: Occasional evening and weekend coverage may be requested with advance notice and additional compensation.Travel: Occasional travel with the family. Travel expenses and separate accommodations provided; standard pay applies.Time-Off: Two (2) weeks paid vacation and statutory holidays and time off. Additional time off, including sick days, is unpaid.Target Start Date: between March 30 and April 6, 2026Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare (Primary Focus)Active Engagement: Facilitating developmental milestones through engaging and interactive activities (e.G. floor time and reading).Strict "No Screen" Policy: Zero screen time for the child; focus on high-quality, face-to-face interaction.Outdoor Play: Daily walks and visits to local libraries, parks, and playgroups (all within walking distance).Routine Management: Following a structured daily schedule for feeding, naps, and activities.Transition Period: During the first one to two months,



you will shadow the parents to learn care preferences and bond with the baby.Household ManagementGeneral Housekeeping: Daily upkeep and cleaning of the condo (e.G., dishwasher, general tidying, wiping counters). Note: the family has dedicated bi-weekly cleaners for deep cleaning tasks (e.G., toilets, showers, mopping, dusting).Laundry: Managing laundry for two adults and the infant.Meal Preparation: Light meal and ingredient preparation for the family.Procurement: Occasional grocery shopping from the lobby-level store.EA Coordination: Working with our Executive Assistant (EA) to sync on task planning and family logistics.Candidate RequirementsExperience: Meaningful, referenceable experience in infant care and household management.Personality: A disciplined self-starter who can manage their time efficiently without constant supervision.Communication: Strong written/verbal skills; comfort with regular WhatsApp check-ins and being reachable during work hours.Discretion: Comfortable working in a home where parents may be working from home or "popping in and out" throughout the day.Certifications: Infant CPR, First Aid and Early Childhood Education certifications are considered a strong asset.OtherEmployment Contract: You will be required to sign an employment contract that will outline, among other things, your obligations to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family's professional and personal lives.Security: A Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check is required for employment.
