What you'll be doingThis position as a Wireroom Warehouse Associate, you will work as part of a team to ensure that products are accurately picked, cut, shipped, and received. This position's hours of work consist of 2:30 pm to 11 pm. This position is based in the Gerrie Distribution Centre in Burlington. You will also be responsible for: Organization of the wireroomInterface with Gerrie Branches for rushes and special requestsPrioritize workload and work in a safe and effective mannerResponsible for accurate receipt and put away of all wire products inbound on a daily basisWork with Manager to prioritize all orders,



and other work dutiesEnsure purchasing department or branches are notified of any discrepancies on orders, email printed and attached to product.Urgent/Rush orders are to be processed in a timely mannerEnsure the quality of all assigned tasks, through a double check, spot check or quality assurance processesResolve or escalate any issues that affect productivity or flowCreate and maintain open lines of communication with Team Lead by keeping them informed of the status as requiredParticipate in continuous improvement and CARE initiativesOther duties as assignedWhat you bring to the tableInterested in pursuing a career in the electrical industry Material handling experience is an asset Counterbalance and reach truck experience & certification is an assetYou have good communication skills and like the idea of working as part of a teamCable cutting experienceIntermediate computer skillsEffective numeracy skillsAbility to work in a face paced environmentPrevious experience working in a warehouse is an asset Don't have all of these qualifications?
