Required Teaching Qualifications

- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Junior/Intermediate Qualifications
- Math Qualification
- Special Education Part 1 is an Asset
- Experience and/or qualifications with Second Language Learners is an Asset

Position Criteria

- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
- Evidence of understanding of diverse learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
- Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
- Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work




- Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
