The NNDSB invites applications for the following LTO position from September 2, 2026 to February 5, 2027
or the early return of the teacher.
Position
- Indigenous Language Ojibwe, Grade 7/8 ETFO
Required Teaching Qualifications
- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Intermediate Qualifications
- Indigenous Language Qualifications
Position Criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Language and Culture
- Proven experience teaching in the language
- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
- Evidence of understanding of wide-ranging learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
- Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
- Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
- Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
