Who We Are
Squido Studio is a studio made up of unapologetic video game enthusiasts and fervent believers in virtual reality. We are working on several games and we help other studios publish their games. We are looking for a versatile 3D and Video Artist to join our marketing department. Your main mission? Taking our game assets, preparing them (rigging, animation..) for our content creators, and directing impactful trailers.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Asset manipulation and preparation (Rigging & 3D): Diving into our projects to extract models, characters, and environments. Preparing them, adjusting the rigs, and creating custom animations for cinematic camera shots.
- Trailer creation (Trailers): Taking charge of video production from A to Z. From in-game capture (or 3D scene rendering) to the final editing of our teasers, launch trailers, and social media videos.
- The bridge between Unity and Blender: Navigating fluidly between our game engine (Unity) to retrieve what you need, and Blender to animate, polish, and render spectacular shots.
- The marketing eye: Understanding what makes a game attractive. You know how to structure a video with a agile pace, a strong hook in the first few seconds, and perfect action readability.
- Creative autonomy: Working with the marketing team to understand a campaign's goals, then proposing video concepts and executing them independently.
Your Profile
- Mastery of Blender and Unity: You are comfortable navigating a Unity project, tweaking scenes, and you master Blender for rigging, animation,
and 3D rendering.
- Video editing skills: You master professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) and know how to pace a video to music.
- Solid basics in animation and rigging: You don't need to be a feature film animator, but you know how to bring a character to life for a cinematic or adapt an existing skeleton (rig) for a shot's needs.
- A marketing/video-oriented portfolio: You have concrete examples of trailers, cinematics, or promotional videos (ideally in the video game industry) to show us.
- Resourcefulness: You know how to "hack" game assets so they look good from a certain camera angle, even if it's not optimized for direct gameplay.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Assets (Bonus Points)
- Experience in video capture in VR environments (knowing how to stabilize an image, managing a third-person virtual camera in virtual reality).
- Motion Design skills (After Effects) to create graphic packages, transitions, or impactful texts.
- A good ear for basic audio mixing and placing sound effects (SFX) in a video.
How We Work & What We Offer
- 100% remote
- Flexible hours, we trust adults; work when you are at your best, be present at the few meetings that matter.
- Salary: Between $25 and $40 / hour depending on experience.
- 30h-40/week & 3-6 month contract.
If you would like to adjust certain skills (for example, if you require experience with After Effects or specific rendering requirements), let me know and I will update the offer!
