Role Description The Administration role is a contract, on-site position based in St John’s, NL. This role is responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, maintaining membership records, and organizing files and documents. The administrator coordinates schedules, supports event planning and logistics, and assists with meeting preparation, minutes, and follow-up actions.

They handle basic bookkeeping tasks such as tracking expenses, processing invoices, and preparing simple financial reports as directed.



The role also includes greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, supporting volunteers, and helping ensure that office operations and community programs run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

- Administrative and organizational skills, including experience with office procedures, record keeping, and calendar management.
- Competence with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and basic database or membership systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries and prepare clear documents and reports.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, document handling, and basic financial or bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community members, and to provide courteous in-person and phone support.
- Experience in event coordination or community program support is an asset.
- Familiarity with Ukrainian culture or interest in community and cultural organizations is beneficial.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role and relevant post-secondary education or training are considered an asset.
