Join FSRA and help us shape the future of regulation for generations to comeJob Description:Purpose of PositionTo develop and execute operational resilience strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory, and legal requirements embedding resilience into how FSRA operates, ensuring the anticipation of disruption, respond decisively, recover effectively and continuously learn from incidents and crises.As an integral part of FSRA's risk mitigation framework, to align operational recovery with business priorities, strengthening preparedness and enabling reliable responses to operational incidents and crises.Key Responsibilities- Develops and maintains FSRA's end-to-end operational resilience framework, including enterprise-wide protocols for assessing, containing, mitigating, recovering from and learning the lessons from operational incidents.- Aligns enterprise recovery strategies with critical business services and organizational priorities- Oversees threat and risk assessments and scenario tests, including the monitoring of potential vulnerabilities / threats and identify risks that could cause harm to the organization, its employees or its assets to validate recovery plans.- Ensures compliance with legislation, regulations,
standards and protocols.- Oversees resilience compliance, including mapping critical dependencies and developing strategies related to third-party service providers.- Develops policies, directives, guidelines, manuals and training materials in support of the operational resilience and business continuity program.- Maintains repository of operational incidents, near misses, and root-cause analysis.- Monitors metrics, performs audits, and updates strategies based on lessons learned to enhance organizational resilience.- Provides report on Operational Resilience quarterly to the Risk Management Committee, consisting of all FSRA Executive team, and annually to the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee of the Board.- Develops continuity plans and manages third-party disruption risks to meet regulatory requirements and protect critical operations.- Ensures seamless integration between business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management plans. Identifies gaps and opportunities for improvements.- Builds and maintains strong internal and external partnerships to support coordinated business continuity, recovery and employee safety planning.- Plans and executes exercises and tests to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and crisis response plans.- Leads post-incident reviews and ensure lessons learned are embedded into plans, training, and procedures.- Administers and maintains FSRA's SaaS-based business continuity management solution, ensuring accurate and up-to-date integration across critical business functions, applications and systems, key vendors and third parties, and employee contact and response information.QualificationsEducation and Experience- Postsecondary degree in business administration, risk management,
or a related field – or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.- 3-5 years' experience in executing Business Continuity Risk Management, Internal Audit or a related field in the financial services industry.Knowledge and Skills- In-depth knowledge of Business Continuity Management practices, protocols, and governance frameworks, including standards promoted by ISO, DRII, and BCI- Knowledge of financial sector-specific resilience regulations.- Understanding of impact tolerances, critical business services identification, and scenario testing.- Risk assessment and analysis skills with the ability to conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to independently recognize problems, propose and execute solutions.- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems before they escalate, and develop creative, effective solutions.- Project management skills to organize, plan and implement business continuity initiatives within deadlines.- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, work with diverse stakeholders and foster a collaborative environment.- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership decisions.- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Business Continuity planning software.*Please note that this position will close at 12AM on the expiry date*Compensation Grade:Grade 06-AMAPCEOCompensation Range:$82,217.00-$121,155.00Bargaining Unit:AMAPCEOJob Code:Job Code: 6A001FEmployment Type:RegularScheduled Weekly Hours:36.25FSRA is committed to ensuring equity in employment.
