Advanced Manufacturing Welder | Robotic & Laser Welding Specialist based in Langley, BC. $32/hour + full advantages. Join a shop where welders operate robotic laser cells and Cold Metal Transfer systems. We're investing in cobotics and expanding our fiber laser capacity - if you want to grow your skills alongside the equipment, this is your shop.

Your Growth Path (This Isn't Just a Job)

- Year 1: Master robotic cell operation, fixture setup, and QC documentation
- Year 2: Cross-train on Cold Metal Transfer and fiber laser welding. Begin robot path programming
- Year 3+: Cell leadership, fixture design, or specialized process development

What We're Investing In

- Cobotics cells (collaborative robots)-expanding capacity
- Expanded fiber laser welding systems
- Continuous process improvement programs where YOUR ideas get implemented

You’ll work with equipment that's constantly evolving. If learning excites you, so will this role.

Equipment You’ll Work With

- Robotic IPG fiber laser welding cells
- Fronius iWave TIG with Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) for zero-spatter thin material work
- CRS & aluminum sheet-metal assemblies and jigs/fixtures

Role Details

- Location: Langley, BC
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (30-min lunch, two paid 10-min breaks)
- Setting: Focused, professional floor with modern equipment
- Compensation: $32.00/hour starting wage + full benefits

Pay Progression, Promotions & Training

- Pay raises are based on demonstrated welding quality, robotic cell capability, programming/process-improvement skill, reliability, and protected production scope - not automatic seniority or tenure alone
- This position is open to promotion into cell leadership, robot programming, QC, fixture design, or specialized process development as capability grows
- Training is supplied in-house for robotic cell operation, laser/CMT procedures, fixture setup, QC documentation, and cross-training on evolving equipment

Key Responsibilities

- Produce high-quality,

repeatable welds to spec (CRS & aluminum)
- Operate robotic welding cells -fixture alignment, basic teaching, path optimization
- Hold tight tolerances; complete QC checks and documentation on every lot
- Contribute to process improvement - we implement good ideas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation

Who Thrives Here

- Welders with sheet-metal experience who want to level up with robotics and laser systems
- Problem-solvers who see "consistent results" as an optimization challenge, not just task execution
- Blueprint readers ready to understand both weld symbols AND programming logic
- Learners excited by new technology - we're upgrading equipment and need people who want to grow with it

Nice to Have

- Forklift ticket
- CWB tickets/certs
- Experience with robotic welding or automated cells

Hours & Culture

- Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (30-min lunch, two paid 10-min breaks)
- Punctuality matters - consistent on-time starts are required
- Focused, professional environment; respectful team culture

- PPE compliance; follow laser safety, fume control, and hot-work procedures

Skills Assessment (~30 min)

- Aluminum and CRS joints (lap/corner/T/butt) in common sheet gauges
- Demonstrate distortion control and basic fixture use
- Simple robot path touch-up or fixture alignment (if applicable)
- We supply all PPE for the assessment
- Candidates may provide prior photos/videos of their work (strongly preferred)

What Success Looks Like (After Ramp-Up)

- High first-pass yield on standard parts
- Consistent bead profile and penetration to spec
- Active contribution to process improvement discussions
- On-time lot completions with accurate QC logs

Benefits

- $32.00/hour starting wage
- Full health benefits package
- Paid vacation & stat holidays (per BC standards)
