Piping EngineerWe are looking for a Piping Engineer. This is a 1 year contract.Key Responsibilities:Define stress critical lines, conduct piping stress analysis and deliver final stress analysis reportProvide stress markups to assist Piping Design, Civil/Structure and Mechanical on pipe routing, restrain types, support loads, equipment nozzle loads, etc.Pipe supports selection and designReview and approve of piping drawings including iso's, GA's, Plot Plan's, Alignment Sheets, Section/Details and as-built drawingsPrepare data sheets for piping specialty items and spring hangers/supportsPerform pipe wall thick calculation and other code calculations as requiredReview existing piping standards/specs and create current piping engineering specs as requiredPrepare and submit pressure piping design registration packageGenerate piping material MR's, complete TBE's and review vendor documents as a responsible engineerLead piping engineering team of assigned project and report the project managementProduce project specific piping engineering design basis,



EWP/CWPProvide engineering support for field construction when requiredRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similarProfessional Engineer (APEGA P. Eng). Able to authenticate piping documents and drawings10 – 15+ years of Engineering experience. Field experience is an assetIndustry experience in Oil & Gas (SAGD). Other experience such as Mining, Pipelines, Gas treatment, Gas compression package, Refinery, Upgrader are also acceptablePiping/Pipeline Stress Analysis using CAESAR II, AutoPipe, etc.Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, CSA Z662 and ABSA pressure equipment regulationsHands-on experience in detailed piping designs, piping and piping components material specificationGood communication skills both in written and verbalStrong commitment to teamwork and work independently with minimal supervisionJob Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsPay: $60.00-$80.00 per hourEducation:Bachelor's Degree (preferred)Experience:piping engineering: 10 years (required)SAGD: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:P.
