Position

AP Calculus BC Tutor (Online, Part time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and reliable AP Calculus BC Tutor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics, familiar with the AP Calculus BC curriculum, and committed to helping students develop strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning while preparing them for success on the AP Calculus BC exam.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging one-on-one or small-group online lessons via Google Meet or Zoom.
- Teach the AP Calculus BC curriculum in alignment with the College Board framework.
- Help students develop a deep understanding of calculus concepts, including limits, derivatives, integrals, differential equations, parametric and polar functions, vector-valued functions, infinite sequences and series, and applications of calculus.
- Strengthen students' conceptual understanding, mathematical communication, and problem-solving abilities through rigorous practice.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials,



and practice exercises tailored to students' learning needs.
- Assign and review homework, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Support students with AP exam preparation through quizzes, free-response question (FRQ) practice, multiple-choice practice, mock exams, and effective exam strategies.
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with academic coordinators.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP Calculus BC is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the AP Calculus BC curriculum and College Board exam requirements.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Experience with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom.
- Patient, organized, dependable, and passionate about teaching.
- Teaching certification is an asset but not required.

Job Details

- Job Type: Part-Time / Contract
- Contract Period: September to the end of April
- Work Location: Remote
- Minimum Weekly Commitment: 2–4 hours per week (hours may vary depending on the number of classes assigned)
- Schedule: Flexible (Evenings and weekends preferred)
- Compensation: CAD $35–$55 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
