Construction Site Representative/ Civil Technologist
Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Kelowna office on a hourly contract basis. The successful candidate will work with a vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout BC, undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base.

What You’ll Do
- Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings
- Monitor progress and schedules
- Prepare daily and weekly reports
- Maintain project records and site diaries
- Review contractor work procedure submissions
- Monitor quality control testing
- Review on-site quantities
- Contract administration
- Coordinate with clients and sub‑consultants
- Communicate effectively and clearly in writing and verbally with clients, contractors, sub‑consultants, and internal staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in contract administration and site inspection
- Eligible for professional licensing with EGBC as a P.Eng or ASTTBC as a AScT
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in civil engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution (asset)
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (active transportation, water, sanitary, storm main installations)
- Proficiency in civil 3D, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Bluebeam, and modeling software
- Familiarity with roadworks construction methodology and underground utilities (valve chambers, manholes, vaults)
- Familiarity with road and bridge construction materials, methods, and processes
- MMCD contract administration and inspection experience (asset)
- Alternative contract delivery experience (asset)
- Committed team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work on‑site and in an office setting for reporting and design tasks
- Valid driver’s license
