Role Description The Architectural Technologist will work on-site in Surrey, BC in a full-time capacity, supporting the development of detailed residential home plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating architectural drawings and construction documentation, producing accurate working drawings, and ensuring plans comply with relevant codes and regulations. The role involves coordinating with designers and other project stakeholders, interpreting design concepts into technical documentation, and resolving design and detailing issues during the planning stages.

The Architectural

Technologist will also review drawings for quality and consistency,



maintain project files, and assist in preparing materials for permit and construction submissions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Architectural Technology, with the ability to translate design concepts into buildable solutions.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing, including clear detailing and dimensioning suitable for residential construction.
- Experience producing Working Drawings that support permitting, tendering, and in office construction activities.
- Ability to create and revise Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings that meet local codes and standards.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency with CAD and related design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes and residential construction practices, particularly in BC.
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and contractors.
