About the Role

We are seeking an Asbestos Abatement Worker to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. This is a full time position with work primarily located in Coquitlam and surrounding areas.

You will support a variety of hazardous material abatement, demolition, and remediation projects while following all applicable health and safety regulations, company procedures, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous material abatement and remediation.
- Complete containment setup, demolition, removal, and clean-up activities.
- Safely use hand and power tools.
- Handle, package, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Follow established work procedures and safety protocols.
- Participate in daily hazard assessments and workplace inspections.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.





What We're Looking For

- Previous construction, demolition, abatement, or remediation experience is an asset.
- Knowledge or experience with hazardous materials abatement is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites in the area.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish is an asset.
- Valid Canadian work authorization.
- Level 2 certification is required.
- WHMIS and Working at Heights certification are assets.
- Ability to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance is an asset.

Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to:

- Wear a respirator and Tyvek protective suit for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, and work for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive tasks and use hand and power tools.
- Work in a variety of construction, demolition, and abatement environments.
- Work in confined spaces and other challenging job-site conditions as required.
