Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is a key player in the production process, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of electrical products. Reporting directly to the Production Lead, they are responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, meeting production targets and deadlines, and supporting a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities (Outcomes & Measures):

- Product Quality: Consistently assemble products to meet company specifications and quality standards.
- Production Efficiency: Meet hourly and daily production targets with minimal rework or delays.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Support colleagues and leaders by maintaining open communication, a good attitude, and assisting in process improvements.

Responsibilities (Tasks & Duties):

Production

- Preparing, assembling, gluing,



and packaging electrical heater components according to work orders or instructions.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safety and effectively.
- Verify correct materials, parts, and documentation are available for assigned tasks.
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards.

Process & Documentation
- Accurately record production data such as output timesheets and any defects or issues encountered.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and suggest opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and contribute to corrective actions.

Workplace Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S practices.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and defective equipment or materials to a supervisor.
- Participate in safety training and actively apply safe work practices.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, leaders, and managers.
- Support other production areas as needed to meet overall production targets and objectives.
- Provide feedback on production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

What We're Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, assembly, electronics, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong reporting and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Robust verbal communication skills.
- Capable of physically lifting parts up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong manual dexterity.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
