Position: Data Architect (x2)Location: Mississauga (Office relocating to Toronto IN Q3/Q4 2026)Work Model: Hybrid- 3x a week onsite in Mississauga (office to relocate to downtown Toronto in Q3/Q4 2026)Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000About Our Client:Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive fleet management services, offering end‑to‑end solutions spanning vehicle acquisition, financing, maintenance, optimization, and full lifecycle support for commercial and public‑sector fleetsWhat You'll Do:The Data Architect is responsible for optimizing the value delivered by our Data Architecture team which turns data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.A Day in the Life Perform Data Architecture support for projects and enhancements.Craft and execute data management, architecture, integration, and governance strategiesProvide technical leadership for architecture, design, documentation, and maintenance of databases and related systems; creates database storage structures, resolves database issues, and maintains system securitySupport development and implementation of business applications that optimize statistical efficiency and data qualityIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsReview and approval of daily operational changes where requiredMonitor daily operations of data loads and identify data discrepancies, data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrityParticipate in project and enhancement estimation exercises and project team meetingsProvide required input, status on tasks, identification of risks and corresponding mitigations as well as issue managementCollaborate with business partners to transform business requirements into environment specific ETL, reporting,
and data validation designs; work closely withmanagement to prioritize business and information needsDesign relational databases to support business enterprise applications and physical data modeling according to project requirements for data acquisition and securityCollaborate with internal and external personnel, including system architects, software developers, database administrators, design analysts and information modeling experts to determine project requirements and capabilities, and strategize development and implementation timelinesReview changes to databases to ensure no performance or functionality impactsDevelop architectural strategies for data modeling, design, and implementation to meet stated requirements for metadata management, operational data stores and Extract Transform Load environmentsCollaborate with the Application Development team to analyze, identify, design, and implement processes for sourcing new dataGenerate DDL scripts from data modelling tool and to ensure the script's proper functionCreate and test physical data models for a variety of business data, applications, database structures and metadata tables to meet operational goals for performance and efficiencySupport database administrators, network designers and IT personnel to create effective and secure methods for data safeguardingReview existing data architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas and present these plans to managers and executivesResearch new technologies, data modeling methods and information management systems to determine which ones should be incorporated into company data architectures,
