The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Banquet Operational team. The Hilton Toronto/Markham is a full-service property seeking a vibrant and dedicated Banquet Supervisor who will also assist with restaurant & lounge supervision on occasion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Implements Company's high level of standards throughout the banquet team, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenues.
- Ensures all laws and regulations pertaining to the food service industry and hotel policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Successful problem solver for both guests/customers and colleagues concerns.
- Assists in recruiting, training, developing, scheduling and supervising of banquet service staff.
- Provides strong leadership through positive reinforcement, training, and coaching.
- Assists with managing labour expenses within productivity guidelines.
- Motivates employees and develops robust channels of communication by maintaining good relations and encouraging team spirit and empowerment.
- Leads a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the highest quality experience is provided to guests/customers.

Job Requirements:
- Two years previous Banquet experience in a comparable unionized hotel environment preferred
- College Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage preferred
- Dedicated to providing excellent guest/customer service.




- Excellent communication and people skills required.
- Ability to lead and motivate employees.
- Knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and an understanding of culinary terms
- Smart Serve certification is required
- Flexible schedule (AM, PM, weekends and holidays).
- Enthusiastic customer service attitude with attention to detail.
- Strong Team player.
- Maintains integrity, dependability and accountability
