Job Summary

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the Specialty Surgery Department located in Ottawa, ON. Full‑time position. Existing job status. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $38.00 per hour depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

- Minimum of 2 years as a practicing Veterinary Technician
- Organize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for veterinarians and the neurology team
- Serve as the point of contact between veterinarian, pet owner and specialty departments
- Have and be willing to enhance technical skills in anesthesia, CRIs, epidurals and mechanical ventilators
- Work closely with the ICU team and treatment team, providing assistance as needed
- Thrive in a steady and fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when working with colleagues
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Apply strong problem‑solving abilities
