If you are passionate about a career in hospitality and want to be part of a team that shares this commitment, The Barrington Hotel is currently seeking a 2nd Cook to join TEMPO Food+Drink. Our award‑winning TEMPO Food+Drink restaurant offers hearty, authentic Canadian comfort food, handcrafted cocktails and Instagram‑worthy specials in a lively and vibrant setting.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, the 2nd Cook will be responsible for delivering consistent, high‑quality food offerings, leading the back‑of‑house team and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction through excellent service standards.

What you will be doing as a 2nd Cook:

- Prepping food items for service;
- Preparing food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications;
- Maintaining a clean work area;
- Closing the kitchen at end of day;
- Opening the kitchen on occasion;
- Assist with inventory count as needed;
- Complete all mandatory food hygiene and safety training that must be kept up to date;
- Maintain a clean work area as required by provincial health standards;




- Such other similar or related duties may be required from time to time.

The person we are looking for has:

- Passionate about food and has a minimum of 1-2 years of similar work experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, high performing restaurant;
- Highly organized with great attention to detail;
- Able to plan and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledgeable in culinary operations, is a team player, hard worker and detail oriented.
