The Opportunity The BIM Coordinator will support multidisciplinary BIM coordination across infrastructure and transit projects, with a strong focus on Autodesk-based workflows. The role will assist with BIM project setup, model management, coordination workflows, milestone deliverable reviews, and compliance with project BIM standards, LOD, LOI, and ISO 19650-based information management requirements.
This role requires strong working knowledge of Autodesk Forma / ACC, Navisworks, Revit &
- Civil3D.
Your Impact
- Act as a multidisciplinary BIM Coordinator supporting civil, buildings, infrastructure, and rail/transit project teams
- Lead and direct BIM coordination meetings, design coordination sessions, and model review workshops.
- Lead clash detection, model federation, coordination reviews, and visual design reviews using Navisworks and Forma Model Coordination.
- Assist BIM Managers, BIM Leads, and design teams with model management and clash coordination workflows.
- Support configuration and use of Autodesk Forma modules, including Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Issues, Reviews, and related workflows.
- Coordinate and review both Revit &
- Civil3D models to confirm alignment with clash review requirements, naming conventions, model structure, geolocation, shared coordinates, and discipline-specific requirements.
- Review key milestone deliverables against project BIM requirements, including LOD, LOI, model quality, information completeness, and compliance with the BIM Execution Plan.
- Support issue tracking and resolution workflows by assigning, monitoring, and closing coordination issues in ACC, Navisworks, or other project-approved platforms.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of modelling protocols, BIM standards, templates, coordination procedures, and quality control workflows.
- Communicate effectively with designers, engineers, coordinators, project managers, and external stakeholders.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and support consistent BIM practices across disciplines
- Support XR/VR-based design review workshops by preparing and coordinating Civil 3D, Revit, and federated models for immersive stakeholder reviews, design validation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 3 to 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, digital delivery, or model-based design coordination.
- Solid working knowledge of Autodesk Forma / ACC, including Docs, Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Reviews, Issues, and related project workflows.
- Strong experience with Navisworks for model federation, clash detection, visual reviews, and coordination reporting. Including but not limited to: advanced set search creation, advanced clash test creation, proficient in property extraction.
- Strong experience coordinating models in both Civil 3D and Revit.
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination across civil, infrastructure, buildings, and rail/transit environments.
- Good understanding of BIM Execution Plans, model delivery requirements, LOD, LOI, and project BIM/CADD quality plans.
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and information management processes.
- Ability to review models for compliance with project standards, naming conventions, coordinates, model structure, and deliverable requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple coordination tasks across active project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, Civil Technology, Construction Management, BIM, or a related field.
- Experience on infrastructure, rail/transit, transportation, or multidisciplinary design projects.
- Experience developing or supporting BIM standards, templates, dashboards, model audit routines, or automation workflows.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Dynamo, Python, or other automation/reporting tools is an asset.
- Experience with VR/AR review workflows is an asset.
- Understanding of 4D and 5D workflows is an asset.
