SUMMARY The BIM Coordinator supports FORREC's multidisciplinary project teams by coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, maintaining project model integrity, and promoting efficient digital project delivery practices.
Working closely with the BIM Manager, Project Teams, and Studio Leadership, the BIM Coordinator assists in the implementation of BIM standards, project setup, model management, consultant coordination, and quality control processes. The role serves as a technical resource to project teams and helps ensure BIM workflows support project objectives, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
The BIM Coordinator plays an important role in advancing FORREC's digital delivery capabilities while supporting Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design teams through all phases of project development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
BIM Project Coordination
- Support project teams in the implementation and execution of BIM workflows and project-specific BIM Execution Plans.
- Assist in setting up project models, templates, work-sharing environments, and project standards.
- Coordinate model structure, file management, and data organization throughout project development.
- Monitor project models to ensure compliance with FORREC BIM standards and project requirements.
- Support project teams in maintaining model health, accuracy, and coordination.
- Assist with model audits, troubleshooting, and project model maintenance.
- Coordinate model exchanges and deliverables with consultants and external project partners.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and BIM reviews.
Technical Support & Quality Assurance
- Provide day-to-day BIM support to Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design teams.
- Assist with Revit troubleshooting and resolution of modelling and coordination issues.
- Support quality control reviews to ensure project documentation meets established BIM standards.
- Review models for completeness,
consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with clash detection processes, model coordination reviews, and issue tracking.
- Participate in the preparation and management of model exports and project deliverables.
- Support the creation, maintenance, and organization of project-specific BIM content.
BIM Standards & Digital Delivery
- Support the implementation and maintenance of FORREC BIM standards, templates, libraries, and digital workflows.
- Assist in developing and updating BIM resources, documentation, and user guidelines.
- Contribute to the maintenance of standard families, content libraries, and project templates.
- Help identify opportunities to improve project workflows, efficiency, and digital delivery practices.
- Support BIM Manager initiatives related to process improvement and technology adoption.
- Maintain awareness of emerging BIM technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
Training & Team Support
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on BIM processes and modelling best practices.
- Assist with onboarding and training of staff on BIM standards and software workflows.
- Support the development of BIM training materials, reference guides, and learning resources.
- Promote consistency in modelling, documentation, and project delivery practices.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Team
Consultant & Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate BIM-related information with internal disciplines and external consultants.
- Support integration of consultant models and project data into FORREC project environments.
- Assist project teams in resolving cloud and local model coordination and interoperability challenges.
- Facilitate information exchange across disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
- Support multidisciplinary collaboration within cloud-based project environments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of professional experience working with BIM-enabled project delivery with ACC/BIM 360.
- Demonstrated experience using Revit within collaborative project environments.
- Experience supporting projects through design development and construction documentation phases.
- Experience within architecture, design, engineering, or construction environments is preferred.

- Strong understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and project delivery methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit managing and implementing multidisciplinary tools and workflows.
- Understanding of project documentation standards and model coordination processes.
- Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans, model management, and clash detection workflows.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary project coordination environments.
- Knowledge of BIM quality assurance and model auditing practices.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- BIM 360 / Forma Autodesk Construction Cloud (Build / Desing Collaboration / Docs / Model Coordination) or equivalent cloud collaboration platforms.
- Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred
- Dynamo.
- Rhino.
- Grasshopper.
- SketchUp.
- Visualization and rendering software.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or computational design tools.

Compensation
This is a regular, full-time position with an annual salary range of $50,000 to $65,000,.
Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, certifications, specialized training, job requirements, and the overall scope and complexity of the role.
