The Breakfast Server prepares and serves breakfast items, assists guests with food and beverage needs, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area. Key Responsibilities:
Food Service & Guest Interaction
- Set up, replenish, and maintain the breakfast buffet or serving stations
- Greeting guests in a friendly and qualified manner
- Assist guests with food and beverage selections
- Ensure food items are presented attractively and kept at proper temperatures
- Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area during service
Buffet Setup & Maintenance
- Prepare breakfast area before service (coffee, juices, hot/cold food items, utensils, etc.)
- Continuously restock food and beverage items throughout service
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
- Ensure labels and signage are accurate and clearly displayed
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and food service areas
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Properly handle food to prevent contamination
- Break down and clean the breakfast area after service ends
Customer Service
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly
- Provide a positive and welcoming guest experience
- Respond professionally to feedback or complaints
- Uphold brand standards for hospitality and service quality
Operational Support
- Assist with light kitchen duties such as simple food preparation or plating
- Report equipment issues or maintenance needs
- Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a breakfast server or in a hotel/restaurant setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with buffet-style service (common in TownePlace Suites by Marriott properties)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Friendly, skilled, and guest-oriented attitude
Working Conditions:
