Job Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Building Caretaker / Janitorial team members for a hybrid role supporting multiple residential properties.

This position combines building caretaking, light maintenance, and janitorial duties. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and building care.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in building caretaking, janitorial services, property maintenance, or a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas
- Maintain lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, washrooms, and other shared spaces
- Complete regular building walkthroughs and identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Perform basic and light maintenance as needed
- Assist with minor repairs and general building upkeep
- Report maintenance issues and follow up when required
- Support day-to-day building operations
- Respond to general site needs and requests
- Communicate professionally with residents, building management, contractors, and other team members
- Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and work areas
- Complete assigned tasks independently and on schedule
- Work at multiple assigned locations as required

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building caretaking, janitorial services, building maintenance, or a similar position




- Previous experience in residential strata buildings is an asset
- Comfortable performing both cleaning and hands-on building tasks
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- Able to manage priorities and complete tasks on time
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of cleaning and building maintenance
- Professional and respectful when interacting with residents, clients, and team members
- Able to work effectively across multiple locations

Position Details
- Positions Available: 2
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: Multiple locations
- Wage: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- Work Type: In person

The right candidate will take pride in keeping buildings clean, safe, and well maintained. You should be comfortable completing regular cleaning duties while also noticing maintenance issues, assisting with basic repairs, and supporting the overall day-to-day needs of the properties.
