Building Science Specialist / Project Manager Infin8 Consulting Group Ltd. - Mississauga, ON

Infin8 Consulting Group Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full time Building Science Specialist / Project Manager at our office located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Infin8 is an engineering consulting firm specializing in developed private and public sector properties across Canada.

Primary Responsibilities

- Lead projects for the private and public sector;
- Manage and/or generate deliverable documentation of projects including technical documents, research projects, field supervision and coordination, case studies, and non-technical reports;
- Develop technical procedures and work plans;
- Prepare proposals, bid documents, contracts and specifications including cost estimates;
- Deliver Project milestones - Plan, schedule, prepare cost estimates and oversee investigations;
- Provide design recommendations for rehabilitation improvements and engineering options;
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, cost benefits analyses and audits;
- Prepare factual and interpreted reports;
- Perform reserve fund studies, building envelope, roof and building condition assessments.
- Conduct failure investigations, intrusive inspections and tests.
- Conduct construction site review for building repair and restoration projects.
- Ensure staff are trained, instructed on and operating in compliance with Health and Safety regulations;
- Establish and maintain a mentoring relationship with technologists and technicians to support growth and retention;
- Consistently maintain professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support;
- Perform other related duties as required.

Education





- Engineering or Architecture Degree from an accredited university. Preference for those candidates with completed courses in Building Science.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with PEO preferred.

Experience

- Experience in a Building Science consulting preferred (5-10 years).

Licenses

- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- PEO registered (or eligible for registration) preferred.
- C.E.T. registered (or eligible for registration) preferred.
- PMP preferred.
- Thermography preferred.
- RRO or RRC preferred.
- Building Envelope Commissioning Agent preferred.
- Passive House Design preferred.

Key Attributes

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Works effectively both independently and within a team.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Proficient with ACAD (preferred).
