Job Summary
As a key member of the team, you will provide analytical, operational and business process support to the divisions within the Community Services department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Business Support Services, the successful candidate will:
- Oversee key performance indicators and metrics, tracking and reporting requirements to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement. Extensive use of enterprise resource planning systems (e.g. INFOR, SAP) for financial reporting/tracking purposes required.
- Conduct operational and service assessments/reviews.
- Review and create business processes and methodologies.
- Research and implement client tools and create supporting documentation.
- Develop research, trends and analysis reports and prepare presentations.
- Oversee key performance indicators and metrics, tracking and reporting requirements to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.
- Project lead for budget processes (divisional Facility Rehab and Renovation and Program Equipment capital budget, WIP reporting), asset management plan and contract management.
- May manage special projects to support client projects and action plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or equivalent.
- An asset management, financial analyst, accounting professional certification (e.g. CAMP, CFA, CPA, CGA, etc.) would be considered an asset.
- Experience working in the public sector and direct municipal experience is an asset.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in financial data analysis and metrics.
- Previous experience in conducting research, data collection/analysis and report writing.
- Previous experience in business process and improvement projects.
- Solid analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex and voluminous information.
- Demonstrated presentation skills.
- Proficient project management skills (leading multi-divisional project teams) with the proven ability to successfully balance concurrent priorities and drive project outcomes.
- Experience utilizing business intelligence software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Excel) for data analysis, reporting and communication purposes.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required, as are excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to function in a team environment is a must.
- Excellent computer skills, with above average abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and ability to multitask are a must.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $ 100,277.00 - $ 133,703.00
