As one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for a detail-oriented Buying Assistant to join our team!

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be providing administrative assistance and support in produce buying processes to the Buying Department.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Maintain accurate pricing, product, and supplier information in company systems.
- Assist Buyers with purchasing activities, purchase orders, contracts, and vendor onboarding.
- Coordinate import-related documentation and support compliance requirements.
- Prepare and distribute pricing updates, specials, market information, and customer quotations.
- Support invoice reconciliation and investigate pricing variances with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Buying team, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.





YOUR QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics support, procurement support, inventory administration, or similar coordination role.
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Knowledge in produce wholesale/distribution industry an asset
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Organized, detail-oriented, and meticulous
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
