About Café Lunette

Café by day, bistro by night, we proudly play host to morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, weeknight rendezvous, lazy Sunday brunches and everything in between. Our menus feature a greatest hits list of timeless French classics — from traditional onion soup and steak tartare, to comforting boeuf Bourguignon and seafood bouillabaisse. On weekends, we invite our guests to rise and shine for a rich variety of pastries, crêpes, galettes and breakfast sandwiches.

Under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine, Café Lunette is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Steward:

- Operating dishwashers efficiently;
- Ensuring that kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards;
- Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks;
- Responsible for receiving, stocking and organizing food and supply orders;
- Safely handling and storing cleaning products;




- General dish area maintenance which includes sweeping, mopping, organization and removal of garbage and compost;
- Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.

The person we are looking for has:

- Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset
- Strong attention to detail;
- The ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment;
- Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task;
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing;
- The ability to handle heavy lifting up 50 lbs;
- A reliable form of transportation, as public transportation may not be available late at night.
