Apply Now The Can Manufacturing Machine Operator is responsible for operating, adjusting, monitoring and optimizing automated and semi-automated industrial machines used to manufacture steel cans and metal packaging products. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with quality standards, production targets and health and safety requirements. It is a specialized manufacturing role requiring strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems.

Main Responsibilities

- Operate and adjust machines used for forming, cutting, assembling and shaping metal products
- Perform machine setup and calibration during production start-up and operation
- Monitor production parameters to ensure technical specifications are met
- Inspect finished products according to quality standards and HACCP requirements
- Detect mechanical anomalies and perform necessary adjustments
- Maintain optimal productivity and minimize production downtime
- Complete production reports and communicate technical information to the team
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Technical And Professional Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems




- Ability to understand and apply technical specifications
- Experience with automated production lines
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues
- Strong organizational and priority management skills
- Autonomy and ability to work under pressure

Physical Requirements

- Manual material handling
- Extended standing position
- Repetitive tasks
- Industrial work environment

Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing
- Experience in metal packaging or steel can manufacturing (asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Bilingualism (English/Spanish) considered an asset
