We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in carpentry with the ability to handle various construction tasks. This role involves working on a variety of projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds. The Carpenter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, fabricating structures, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Assemble and fabricate wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures.
- Install flooring, including hardwood, laminate, and tile laying as required.
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure durability and weather resistance.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on time.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or renovation projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential.
- Experience with flooring installation, fence and deck installation, window and door installation would be an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a quick-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
