The Opportunity

As part of our international expansion, we are seeking a Partner to establish, develop and lead Hetbuy Ottawa.

This is not a traditional executive position. It is an entrepreneurial mandate for an experienced qualified who wishes to build and lead our Ottawa office while becoming a long-term strategic partner within the Group.

The successful candidate will represent Hetbuy across the Ottawa-Gatineau region and Eastern Ontario, develop relationships with entrepreneurs, investors and institutional partners, and progressively build a local team as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Launch and develop Hetbuy Ottawa across the Group's three business lines.
- Represent the firm with entrepreneurs, business owners,



investors, family offices and strategic partners throughout Ottawa, the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario.
- Originate opportunities in M&A;, strategic real estate and wealth advisory.
- Assess opportunities and coordinate execution alongside the Group's specialized teams.
- Build relationships across the Ottawa and Canadian financial ecosystem, including banks, private equity firms, family offices, law firms, accounting firms and other trusted advisors.
- Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing local team.
- Act as a trusted advisor rather than a traditional intermediary.

Candidate Profile

We are looking primarily for leadership, credibility and network rather than a conventional résumé.

- Senior experience in M&A;, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Commercial Banking, Real Estate, Wealth Management or executive leadership.
- Established network of entrepreneurs, business owners, investors and decision-makers across Ottawa, the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario.
- Strong understanding of the Ottawa and Canadian entrepreneurial and investment landscape.
- High level of professional credibility and comfort operating in confidential, high-value environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong autonomy and ownership.
- Ambition to build a long-term business rather than simply generate referrals.
