As Chief Advisor, Financial Performance

Management within the Financial Performance Management - Commercial Banking team at

National Bank means acting as a strategic partner to business leaders and contributing directly to the organization’s financial objectives. In this role, you will make a tangible impact through your expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning,

and decision support.

Your role

- Act as a strategic finance partner to client-facing teams within Commercial Banking Ontario and advise regional leadership on key financial and business matters.

- Analyze financial results, performance trends, and business initiatives to provide recommendations that support growth and profitability.

- Coordinate financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning,

and performance presentations.

- Collaborate with analysts and internal partners to produce analyses, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.

- Contribute to governance processes, performance reviews, and profitability analyses related to products and clients.

- Influence business decisions through a deep understanding of banking, financial, and operational issues.

Your team

Within the Financial

Performance Management department, you will be part of a team of Finance Partners and Analysts supporting the Commercial Banking sector. You will report to the Senior

Vice President, Commercial Business Enablement and Performance. Our team stands out for its strong business partnerships, financial expertise, and ability to influence strategic decisions.

Requirements

- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrate significant experience in financial analysis, performance management, financial forecasting,

and business analysis.

- Have experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

- Demonstrate strong expertise in interpreting complex financial data and formulating business recommendations.

- Be proficient with business intelligence, data visualization, and modern analytical tools.

- Experience in accounting is considered an asset.
