Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children
- Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored educational strategies and compassionate care
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and behavior using computer-based systems
- Communicate effectively with children, parents,
and team members to ensure clarity and positive relationships
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including scheduling activities, transitions, and rest periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development milestones
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred to support diverse communities
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for effective collaboration
- Competency in computer operation, including record keeping and basic educational software
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
- Leadership qualities to guide children positively while fostering independence and confidence
