We’re Hiring a Clinical Development Manager (Hygiene)
Develop People. Strengthen Programs. Elevate Patient Care.
At Anytime Dental Group, our Registered Dental Hygienists play an incredibly important role in the health, experience, and long-term relationships we build with our patients.
As we continue to grow across Ontario, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Clinical Development Manager – Hygiene to help strengthen and evolve our hygiene program across the Anytime Dental Group.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist who loves developing people, understands the connection between great patient care and strong practice performance, and knows how to use data and KPIs to identify opportunities, coach teams, and drive meaningful improvement.
You’ll work alongside our hygienists, clinic leaders, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Learning & Development teams to provide the coaching, tools, education, and support needed to build confident, engaged, high-performing hygiene teams.
If you’re passionate about hygiene, mentorship, clinical excellence, and helping others reach their potential, we’d love to meet you.
About the Role The Clinical Development Manager – Hygiene will be responsible for supporting the continued development and performance of the hygiene program across Anytime Dental Group clinics in Ontario.
This is a highly collaborative and field-focused role centered on coaching, mentorship, clinical development, and performance improvement.
You’ll spend time in our clinics working directly with Registered Dental Hygienists and practice leaders to understand their opportunities, provide hands-on coaching, strengthen clinical and patient-care workflows, and help teams build sustainable, high-performing hygiene programs.
A key part of this role will be using hygiene KPIs and practice data to identify opportunities and turn insights into action. Rather than simply reporting on numbers, you’ll help teams understand what the metrics mean, why they matter, and how improvements in areas such as patient retention, reappointment, periodontal care, treatment acceptance, productivity, and schedule optimization can support better patient outcomes and healthier practices.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel throughout Ontario.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coach, mentor, and support Registered Dental Hygienists across Anytime Dental Group to strengthen their confidence, clinical skills, patient communication, and overall performance.
- Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for hygienists and clinic leaders, providing practical guidance, support, and problem-solving.
- Support the continued development, implementation, and growth of the Anytime Dental Group hygiene program.
- Use hygiene KPIs, practice data, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical coaching plans with clinic teams.
- Help hygienists and clinic leaders understand the story behind their metrics and translate data into meaningful actions that improve patient care and practice performance.
- Coach teams on key hygiene performance areas including patient retention and reappointment, periodontal diagnosis and therapy, treatment acceptance, schedule optimization, productivity, and comprehensive patient care.
- Partner with clinic leaders to develop action plans for hygiene growth and follow up on progress, opportunities, and results.
- Support hygienists in strengthening patient education and communication so patients better understand their oral health needs and recommended care.
- Champion a comprehensive approach to hygiene care, including periodontal health, prevention, patient education, and appropriate recare planning.
- Observe hygiene workflows and identify opportunities to improve clinical efficiency, patient experience, and consistency of care.
- Support the integration of digital dentistry into hygiene workflows, including practical, hands-on coaching with intraoral scanning and other technology.
- Support onboarding and development of new Registered Dental Hygienists, helping them build confidence and integrate successfully into their clinic teams.
- Identify individual and team development needs and provide targeted coaching, resources, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to create hygiene education, training programs, workshops, resources, and continuing education opportunities.
- Facilitate one-on-one coaching, team development sessions, clinical discussions, and hygiene-focused training.
- Share best practices and successes across clinics to help build consistency and strengthen the broader Anytime hygiene community.
- Partner closely with Operations, Clinical Leadership, and clinic teams to support locations requiring additional hygiene development or performance support.
- Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Registered Dental Hygienists, including interviews, networking, onboarding, and engagement activities as needed.
- Help foster a culture where hygienists feel supported, challenged, valued, and excited about their continued professional growth.
- Champion exceptional patient care while helping build sustainable, high-performing hygiene programs across Anytime Dental Group.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.
- 5+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, with a strong foundation in comprehensive hygiene care and patient education.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing other dental professionals.
- Experience in a clinical leadership, hygiene lead, practice leadership, education, or multi-site support role is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of dental hygiene KPIs and practice performance metrics, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and coach teams toward improvement.
- Comfortable balancing clinical excellence with the operational and performance components of a successful hygiene program.
- A genuine passion for coaching, mentoring, and helping others develop.
- Strong knowledge of periodontal assessment, diagnosis, therapy, maintenance, prevention, and comprehensive hygiene care.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills,
with the ability to establish trust and credibility with hygienists and clinic leaders.
- A collaborative coaching style—you’re comfortable asking questions, providing constructive feedback, celebrating progress, and creating accountability.
- Ability to influence and inspire change without relying solely on authority.
- Comfortable facilitating one-on-one coaching, team meetings, workshops, and educational sessions.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn performance data into practical recommendations.
- Experience with digital dentistry, intraoral scanning, Invisalign workflows, and iTero technology is considered an asset.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple clinics, priorities, and development initiatives.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Ontario to work directly with our hygiene teams and clinic leaders.
