CNC Machinist - Lightheaded Lighting

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

Lightheaded Lighting is growing, and we are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist who wants to do more than simply run parts.

What you'll do

· Set up and operate CNC machines for drilling, milling, turning, and grinding operations.

· Interpret engineering drawings, solid models, and specifications to determine machining strategy and setup requirements.

· Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to keep production running efficiently.

· Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.

· Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes, solve problems, and support efficient production.

· Maintain accurate machine cycle time records in the ERP system.

· Perform routine machine maintenance to support reliability and long-term performance.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What we're looking for

· Technical certification in CNC machining is an asset.





· Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong knowledge of CNC setup, operation, programming using Mastercam and controls such as Haas.

· Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and solid models.

· Solid understanding of tooling selection, machining parameters, speeds, and feeds.

· Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.

· A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with the confidence to identify issues and help solve them.

· Commitment to safe work practices and consistent quality.
