Description
Description: The Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist (CLXT) I performs laboratory and radiographic examinations independently. This position uses a variety of equipment, instrumentation and procedures including daily processing, testing, resulting and reporting of diagnostic samples. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications: Diploma from a recognized program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology is required. Registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT) is required.
Additional Required Qualifications
Current, demonstrated competency in all General radiographic exams. Demonstrated awareness and competency in adaptive radiographic techniques. Demonstrated ability to be able to work within existing, clearly defined policies and procedures. Committed to providing high-quality student teaching and preceptorship. Involved in x-ray emitting procedures requiring the donning of leaded apparel weighing up to 9.5kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting within the perimeter of a radiation field.
